Dear Parents and Students,
I am looking forward to this
coming semester. As with any new
experience, it will take some time of adjustment. I do have high expectations of all my students and want them
all to be successful. I will
attempt to do my best to be available before or after school for extra help if
it is needed.
Students, please do not be afraid to ask questions or come in for extra help. Remember that your grade is what you make of it. I want you to be successful; so don’t wait until you’ve done poorly on quizzes or tests, before you come in for help. You are the best judge of how well you understand the material. I should be available most days after school, so just let me know that you are coming. If you need to come in for help before school, a day and time will definitely have to be prearranged.
Parents, please help your student by checking to make sure that they have done their homework. Most homework assignments should not take more than 20-30 minutes to complete. Good study habits are important. Math Foundations I is just the beginning of several math classes that your student will be taking at GCHS, so the concepts learned in this course is just the stepping stone to those in future courses. It is very important for your student to do well in this class.
