Classroom Rules
Mrs. Samantha Stevens
2003-2004 Academic Year
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to a new school year at G. C. H. S. I’m excited about getting to know each of you as enter my class. I have high expectations for you and know that with effort, strife, and good study habits you can meet the challenge. This semester may seem like a roller coaster ride. There will be some ups and downs and even some curves and loop-the-loops. At times you may be nervous and feel the pressure as you climb a hill, only to be waiting for the bottom to fall out. Hopefully, at some point and time you will feel at ease with the curriculum and catch your breath while you are waiting to take a curve or be thrown completely for a loop! HANG IN THERE! Just as every passenger makes it to the end of a ride, with determination, completion of all homework and class assignments, effort, class participation, and time made for study, you, too, will make it through this class with a credit. Your grade, like the experience on a roller coaster, is what you make of it.
Students will have access to and be assigned a TI-83 Plus graphing calculator to use in the classroom. A calculator check will be done after the end of each period to insure the return of each calculator. Each student is responsible for seeing that his or her calculator has been placed into the case before leaving the classroom. Students will be assigned books. Failure to take care of books and calculators will result in replacement costs to be paid for by the student.
You will be
expected to abide by the following rules:
· ALL school rules as outlined in the student handbook will be enforced.
· Talking when the teacher is conducting class will not be allowed. Students will be called upon after raising their hand and being recognized by the teacher.

prior consent of the teacher.

classroom intervention for each episode.
Four classroom interventions will result in in-school suspension.
· Students are expected to complete homework assignments. .
· All students will show respect to all persons at all times. If a visitor comes to the door or a phone call is placed through to the room, you are expected to be silent.
·
Cheating is not allowed! Cheaters will
receive the following punishments:
First offense: One day of Saturday School and a zero for the assignment
in question
Second offense: Out of School Suspension and possible loss of credit for
course work as determined by the administration.

· Level 2: Student will be moved to a different seat.
